This has got to be the Diamond in the heart of Dawlish, fantastic little cafe/ restaurant, with the best staff we have come across. Been here a few times now... read more and can not fault the food, from breakfasts to lunches and desserts. Always greeted with a friendly smile. Also during this Covid-19 time they have everything covered to ensure customer safety. Wheelchair and dog friendly as well, so what more could you want.

We decided to head into Dawlish to get breakfast before we drove home after our camping trip. We drove down the high street and saw Johns and thought we’d give... read more it a go! We had a lovely veggie breakfast and my children enjoyed their scrambled egg sandwich and mini breakfast. The quality was good and when I said that I didn’t want mushrooms on my breakfast, the lovely waitress asked me what I would like instead. This was a pleasant change as usually when I ask for no mushrooms I have to ask for something else instead! With it being a Monday the government ‘eat out’ discount was applied to our bill. We had four breakfasts, a round of toast and two coffees for about £13. Unbelievably amazing value! I’m sure even without the scheme the value is good too. The cafe and toilets were clean and the staff were lovely and friendly. If we go back to Dawlish we will definitely visit this Johns again!
